The IUCN World Conservation Congress (6-15 Sept 2012 in Jeju, Korea) will host a CWR workshop entitled Managing Wild Species and Systems for Food Security, organized by Bioversity International and CIFOR. The workshop will explore two linked pathways toward a solution for food security: the use of more diversity in agricultural systems, including tapping the variation within wild plant species related to food crops, and managing forest systems more effectively for food.
