Resources
Information is key to making informed decisions and planning conservation actions. When starting the UNEP/GEF funded project on "In situ conservation of CWR" there was very little information that project partners were able to access or draw upon to adequately plan in situ conservation actions in their own countries.
In this section we have attempted to fill this gap and provide CWR practitioners with background information, latest news, articles, publications that have some relevance to the topic, as well as providing a list of useful links to projects that deal with in situ conservation of crop wild relatives. The In situ conservation manual is the concluding product resulting from the UNEP/GEF project. This collection of the projects' findings is a rich resource in its own that to a large extent fills the previous information gap.
